- Prepare 30 of garlic pods.
- You need 1 of lemon.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of roasted jeera.
- Prepare 30 of soaked red chillies.
- You need 1 tsp of oil for masala.
- It’s as needed of Oil for shallow fry.
- Prepare To taste of Salt.
Firstly, you need to slightly cook your prawns. So, take a pan, add some oil and start frying your prawns with salt and turmeric powder. This will prevent your prawns from getting stuck on the pan. Gongura Prawns is an exotic dish made mostly in Andhra cuisine.
Gongura Prawns instructions
- Grind garlic,roasted jeera,soaked red chillies, salt coarsely..
- Add 1tsp oil, juice of one lemon and blend for 5secs again.
- Clean and devein prawns.
- Marinate the prawns with the above mixture.
- Leave it overnight in the fridge for marination.
- Wash and clean gongura leaves..
- Cook the gongura leaves by adding very little water.
- Cool it and grind it adding salt as required.
- Add this paste to the marinated prawns..
- Mix well and leave 30mins to 1hour for marination.
- Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan and shallow fry the prawns.
- Once prawns are completely cooked, serve with hot white rice.
